The official UNDP launch communication dated 28 May 2026 reports, in aggregate, total investment above USD 45 million and a GEF contribution of approximately USD 5.8 million. The exact figures reported by the GEF portal are therefore used in the budget fields and the difference is documented here without estimating or reconciling amounts not explicitly reported by the sources. No exchange-rate conversion is required because the amounts are directly denominated in US dollars. The project aims to bring approximately 139,000 hectares under improved practices, reduce 646,538 tonnes of CO2 equivalent and restore at least 1,510 hectares of ecosystems, including 250 hectares of wetlands.
