Start Date: 2014
End Date: 2025

Description

Plan to strengthen food and nutrition security in Latin America and the Caribbean through coordinated policies, social protection programs, and regional cooperation. Promoted by CELAC with technical support from FAO, ALADI, and ECLAC, it seeks to eradicate hunger and extreme poverty by 2025 through intergovernmental coordination and the strengthening of sustainable agri-food systems.

Observations

The plan constitutes a regional policy framework of reference for the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. It does not have a single centralized budget, as its implementation depends on national resources and international cooperation. Its execution is technically supported by the FAO and other regional agencies.
