Description

The Latin America and Caribbean Without Hunger 2025 Initiative (IALCSH) is a regional political commitment adopted in 2005 by the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, with the aim of eradicating hunger and achieving food and nutritional security by 2025. The Support for the Latin America and Caribbean Without Hunger 2025 Initiative project (launched in 2006 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) together with Spanish Cooperation) accompanies States and their societies in transforming the fight against hunger and malnutrition into a national priority, supporting the formulation and implementation of high-impact public policies. Its main areas of work include governance and high-impact public policies, capacity building, knowledge management and exchange, and social awareness.
