(Es) (Ecuador) Initiative: Capacity and Resource Development of the National Germplasm Bank of Ecuador

The National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIAP) has the country's leading crop germplasm bank. This bank requires strengthening, not only in operational and management aspects, but also in infrastructure. A partnership with CROP TRUST (Global Crop Diversity Trust), an international nonprofit institution dedicated to the conservation of crop diversity, is funding the first phase of capacity building for INIAP's Germplasm Bank. This proposal is part of the "Biodiversity for Opportunities, Livelihoods and Development (BOLD)" initiative, which the Global Crop Diversity Trust is implementing in partnership with specialized national and international institutions.
