(Es) (Ecuador) Socio-Productive Development Project in the Northern Border Zone of Ecuador

The project's objective is to strengthen the production chains prioritized in the Development Plans (PDOT) of the provinces of Esmeraldas, Carchi, Imbabura, and Sucumbíos that comprise the MNE, inclusively and sustainably in the medium and long term, as a sustainable response to the economic impact of the health crisis. The specific objectives are: (i) to improve the skills and abilities of small producers and their associations; (ii) to increase the productivity and profitability indices of prioritized value chains with market potential; and (iii) to support the improvement of marketing processes and access to formal national and international markets for the selected value chains (coffee, soursop, livestock, plantain, berries, and avocado).
