Description

The Ecuador LDN project is an initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition (MAATE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG). Funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the CONDESAN project is the implementing organization, under the technical supervision of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The project's objective is to prevent, reduce, and reverse land degradation processes (SDGs 2, 13, and 15) to promote the sustainable development of rural communities, ensuring the provision of key ecosystem services and food sovereignty, within the framework of national efforts to achieve Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) in Ecuador.
