(Es) The Future of Food building Businesses Based on Sustainable Food Systems

Start Date: 20/11/2019
End Date: 31/12/2030

Description

This program, which seeks to build sustainable food systems, launched in 2020 with four axes: promoting the vision and business management of each agroecological farm to achieve a family business model that efficiently meets market demand; strengthening the resilience of agroecological production by emphasizing the care of ecosystems and their natural resources; consolidating partnerships for better marketing conditions; and generating agroecological markets that promote responsible consumption. The core of the project is the creation of rural businesses that expand and diversify both their offerings and market channels. The projected number of directly participating families is 18,000, while indirectly they total 29,882 in the provinces of Azuay, Pichincha, and Galapagos.
