Enhancing the voluntary biodiversity credits market through the application of digital tokens within an integrity protocol framework

The project seeks to develop a protocol for financing biodiversity conservation projects through the use of digital tokens, building upon the protocol that Terrasos has developed for issuing voluntary biodiversity credits. The project resources will focus on developing technology that enables the conversion of voluntary biodiversity credits to biodiversity tokens, the validation process, and their marketing. The main benefit is the conservation of 1,000 hectares of Colombian territory, developing a new climate finance revenue model that will directly benefit communities or organizations that own the lands where the tokens will be issued.
