Colombian Low Carbon and Climate Resilient Development Strategy (ECDBC)

National strategy and intersectoral planning and implementation process for comprehensive climate change management in Colombia, led by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. Its objective is to facilitate planning, implementation and capacity management across national ministries to achieve Colombia's short-, medium- and long-term climate targets and advance toward carbon neutrality and climate resilience within a sustainable development framework. The ECDBC articulates and supports the implementation of instruments such as Colombia's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC), the Long-Term Climate Strategy E2050, Sectoral Comprehensive Climate Change Management Plans and other national and sectoral instruments. It also promotes the territorialization of climate action and cross-cutting elements including science, technological development and innovation, institutional strengthening, regulatory instruments, financing, climate empowerment and a just transition.
