Microwd Inversiones S.L. is a fintech founded in Spain in 2015 that connects women entrepreneurs in Latin America with investors seeking economic returns and social impact. This investment accelerator functions as a platform connecting investors with women who gain access to direct loans to launch their businesses. With this, MICROWD creates an attractive model for all stakeholders involved, as it connects social investors who obtain returns on their investments and generate positive social impacts. The funds it uses come from two sources: social investors (individuals) who register on the MICROWD platform, and the Microwd FICC (Closed-End Collective Investment Fund), which is registered with the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). Through crowdfunding, it raises funds to develop support projects in emergency situations (health and food), business training, and community infrastructure.
