Sustainable Rural Development Project of the State of Paraíba (PROCASE II)

PROCASE II is the fourth individual operation under the Conditional Credit Line for Investment Projects for the Agriculture and Sustainable Development Program in Brazil, with financing of $70 million from the IDB and $10 million from IFAD. The project seeks to reduce rural poverty by improving food and nutritional security and adaptation to climate change of the rural population by increasing the adoption of agricultural technologies, strengthening the productive and social inclusion of family farmers, and improving the environmental conditions of rural communities. The initiative will benefit approximately 60,000 families in Paraíba, prioritizing women, youth, traditional peoples and people with disabilities.
