Description

Decree No. 7,794 of 2012 establishes Brazil's National Agroecology and Organic Production Policy with the objective of integrating, articulating and adapting policies for agroecological transition and organic production. The policy seeks to contribute to sustainable development and quality of life through the sustainable use of natural resources and healthy food supply. It establishes clear guidelines to promote food sovereignty, ecosystem conservation and the valorization of agrobiodiversity. Defines specific implementation instruments and creates instances of participatory management. Incorporates a gender and rural youth perspective in its objectives.
