Description

The project seeks to contribute to the economic growth of small coffee producers in the department of Huehuetenango through ASOBAGRI. The program includes reimbursable financing for working capital and investment in renovating coffee plantations, non-reimbursable financing for rebuilding storage infrastructure, and technical cooperation for capacity building. The beneficiaries are 1,100 indigenous Mayan families dedicated to organic coffee cultivation, 20% of whom are women. The project includes technical assistance, socioeconomic development, institutional strengthening, and commercial positioning.
