National Strategy for the Development of Organic and Agroecological Production of the Republic of Guatemala 2013-2030

The National Strategy for the Development of Organic and Agroecological Production of the Republic of Guatemala indicates that organic and agroecological agricultural production systems are alternative and differentiated, capable of generating various incomes in family, subsistence farming, and guaranteeing Food Security. ; contributing to improving the quality of life of those who are part of this important productive segment. The Strategy aims to be a work tool of the National Commission for Organic Agriculture (CNAE), for the promotion, improvement and strengthening of the production, transformation, marketing, regulation, and prioritization of consumption of food and agricultural products in general from systems of organic and/or agroecological production using natural resources in an efficient and sustainable way.
