Sustainable Livestock in Nicaragua

Start Date: 25/05/2017
End Date: 25/05/2021

Description

The objective of the project is to develop a scalable pilot segregated cattle production model that will enable medium-scale producers to improve their competitiveness and increase their income through more stable sales relationships in the chain, and the Nicaraguan livestock sector to access higher-value and environmentally sustainable international markets. Given that this is a new model, the project faces the challenge of demonstrating the concrete benefits generated in terms of improved productivity, environmental management and profitability over the course of its implementation.
