Description
The project seeks to develop, together with public and private actors, a simple and cost-efficient tool enabling the cocoa sector to meet the requirements of international deforestation-free markets, such as the European Union Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR). To this end, it supports the regional roadmap towards deforestation-free production, adapts a public digital identity application for plot georeferencing and validates it through pilot tests, offers free virtual training, and incorporates the social and gender inclusion of women and youth.
