Description

The Federal Government of Brazil has allocated R$ 6.8 billion to the Coffee Economy Defense Fund (Funcafé) to boost the development of coffee growing during the 2024/2025 harvest. Through MAPA Ordinance No. 697, criteria are established for the distribution of these resources, approved by the National Monetary Council in CMN Resolution No. 5,138. This financing focuses on different key areas: credits for production, marketing, grain acquisition, working capital for industries and cooperatives, and recovery of damaged coffee plantations. The funds will be allocated to authorized financial entities according to specific criteria, thus supporting coffee growers and promoting the sustainability of the sector. The total amount allocated amounts to R$ 6,886,605,753.00, distributed in different credit lines: crop financing, marketing, coffee acquisition, working capital for the coffee industry, and recovery of damaged coffee plantations.
