Decree 697/2024 eliminates export duties on agro-industrial products in Argentina

Fecha de inicio: 05/08/2024
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The Decree introduces a new scheme for the Export Duty (D.E.) in Argentina, with the objective of promoting national production with greater added value and improving competitiveness in international markets. The decree establishes specific D.E. rates for certain agro-industrial goods according to the COMMON NOMENCLATURE OF MERCOSUR (N.C.M.), and sets the D.E. rate at 0% for the cow category (except live animals) with codes A, B, C, D, and E. In addition, products made with milk, bovine milk, milk-based beverages, casein and their derivatives are exempt from the D.E., also with a rate of 0%. These measures seek to promote the transformation of agricultural products into high-value proteins, strengthen livestock activity, and improve the insertion of Argentine products in the international market.
