Fecha de inicio: 01/10/2021
Fecha de fin: 01/09/2026

Description

The TRANSFORMA-INNOVA program seeks to drive the transformation towards a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy in Costa Rica, aligning with the country's goals to be carbon neutral by 2050. By promoting sustainable practices in key agricultural sectors such as coffee, livestock, and musaceae, the program encourages low-carbon production and biodiversity conservation. The program works to strengthen governance, climate financing, and capacity building for the implementation of these practices in productive sectors. The program has a comprehensive approach that includes technical training, the creation of communities of practice, and financial support for the implementation of sustainable technologies. In addition, it seeks to facilitate the inclusion of women and youth in value chains, promoting practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve resilience to climate change. Through initiatives such as the livestock NAMA, the implementation of good practices in hundreds of producers is expected, contributing significantly to Costa Rica's climate commitments.
