Description

The Plan established in Article 1 has the general objective of promoting the conservation, restoration and sustainable management of agricultural soils. It seeks to maximize their productivity while ensuring the continuity of the ecosystem services that these soils provide, all within the framework of global climate change.

Observations

The proposed actions include strengthening institutional capacities for the conservation, restoration and sustainable management of agricultural soils, as well as promoting good practices that optimize their use and consider ecosystem services. The aim is to promote sustainable production systems, develop market tools in the context of climate change, and implement management plans in collaboration with the provinces. In addition, the creation of a National Information System for Agricultural Soils, the promotion of related regulations, dissemination and training in sustainable management, research in this area, and participation in international negotiations and initiatives, together with the establishment of cooperation agreements to ensure financial and human resources, are contemplated.
