Description

The Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Aquaculture Promotion Program is designed to improve self-sufficiency and food security by increasing production and productivity in these sectors. It seeks to implement sustainable practices, develop regional value chains and create equal conditions to achieve inclusive and fair territorial development. The Agriculture Promotion Component has the specific objective of increasing the productivity of Production Units in a sustainable manner, focusing on improving cultivation techniques and optimizing the resources used in agriculture. The Livestock Promotion Component is aimed at strengthening value chains in the livestock sector to increase productivity, including the development of comprehensive projects that improve the efficiency and profitability of livestock operations. The Territorial Development Component seeks to promote economic growth at the regional level by promoting territorial projects, focusing on increasing agricultural production and strengthening the links of producers in the market, promoting technological development and innovation in rural regions. The BIENPESCA Component aims to improve the economic well-being of fishermen and aquaculturists by providing support that increases their productivity and sustainability, focusing its efforts on the social and economic inclusion of workers in the fishing and aquaculture sector. Finally, the Aquaculture Genetic Resources Component is designed to promote research and development of genetic resources in aquaculture, including the production of aquaculture seed and the improvement of genetic lines, promoting sustainability and efficiency in aquaculture production. Together, these components are intended to improve production conditions and equity in rural regions, with special emphasis on supporting small producers and promoting sustainable practices in agriculture, livestock, fishing and aquaculture.
