Fecha de fin: 30/05/2025

Description

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) of Ecuador, with technical assistance from FAO and in collaboration with other ministries, launched the "AgroJoven Employment" initiative. This program seeks to promote youth employment through agro-bioenterprises, focusing on the value chains of the agri-food system. With an investment of 1.3 million dollars in non-refundable cooperation funds, 100 youth initiatives will be supported throughout the country. The initiative will also include training and innovative financial mechanisms, such as agribusiness bootcamps and entrepreneurship fairs. The initial phase will focus on the cocoa value chain, with a subsequent evaluation to improve public youth employment policies.
