Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2020
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The project seeks to optimize this crop by directly benefiting more than 500 producers through the development of soil nutrient maps, adjusted irrigation systems, and drainage designs. Five pest-resistant varieties will be identified and specific recommendations on fertilizer doses and frequencies will be formulated. The impact of these advances is expected to reach both producers and IDIAP and MIDA technicians, improving agricultural practices and reducing the importation of vegetable oils and fats. In addition, the project will include workshops and field days for knowledge transfer, and the publication of results in scientific articles and research notes.
