Description

The project "Use of Technologies to Support the Government of Costa Rica in the Development of a Climate-Smart Greenhouse and its Marketing Strategy" is an initiative led by the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Costa Rica, implemented with financial support from the Korea-BCIE Single Donor Trust Fund (KTF). It includes two greenhouses specialized in the cultivation of tomatoes and sweet peppers, as well as a control room, a nursery, and a storage area for agricultural inputs. The infrastructure incorporates advanced technologies that facilitate the monitoring and remote management of crops, through sensors that collect and transmit data on environmental variables such as light, heat, movement, humidity, and pressure to a cloud-based management system.
