Description

The objective of the Regional Agricultural Competitiveness Project for OECS countries is to improve access to markets and sales for farmers and fishermen selected for their competitiveness. This project consists of four main components. The first component, Support for the Preparation of Business Plans, seeks to promote understanding of the scope and objectives of the project through dissemination to potential stakeholders and beneficiaries, identify business opportunities for priority value chains and translate them into viable commercial proposals. and profitable, and prepare complete business plans for the selected proposals. The second component, Business Plan Implementation, provides complementary grants to co-finance the implementation of technically feasible, financially viable, economically profitable, socially responsible and environmentally sustainable business plans, which will contribute to a constant and timely supply of quality products. to buyers, while ensuring a reliable income for allied farmers and fishermen. The last two components of the project focus on strengthening general agricultural public services directly linked to the subprojects and on guaranteeing effective project management, monitoring of activities and final evaluation of the project.
