ESCALAR project in the Trifinio region

Start Date: 01/01/2023
End Date: 31/03/2026

Description

The main objective of the SIDA-CSC Escalation Project is to increase the resilience to climate change of vulnerable communities in the Dry Corridor of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. To achieve this, the project focuses its efforts on strengthening local communities, improving agrobiodiversity in the predominant agricultural production systems in the Trifinio region. In addition, it seeks to facilitate young people's access to employment opportunities and rural business development. This objective is intended to be achieved through the implementation of Agricultural Innovations for Adaptation in selected productive chains, the creation of Rural Business Incubators to promote youth employment, and the improvement in cooperation and access to climate financing.
