First Individual Financing Program for the Improvement of Agricultural Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer in Paraguay

The objective of the program is to improve the productivity of the agricultural sector through investments that improve the capacity of the Paraguayan State to provide quality agricultural public services to producers, as well as through targeted investments that support groups of producers that have high productive potential. As a results, a sustained increase in the sectoral product and the consequent improvement in the quality of life of rural producers is expected. It seeks to increase the productivity and environmental sustainability of the agricultural sector by strengthening the country's capacity to generate and transfer relevant and advanced technologies. This effort involves a significant investment in the institutional strengthening of the Paraguayan Institute of Agrarian Technology (IPTA), the development of human and technical capacities, and the improvement of the infrastructure and equipment of the experimental centers. The program is aligned with the strategic vision of the country's agricultural development, seeking to increase the sector's product and improve the quality of life of rural producers.
