MERIAN Project in El Salvador

The project is called “MERIAN – Strengthening the capacities of CENTA and ENA for agricultural research, extension and digital education”, an initiative that will improve CENTA's technical assistance coverage; It will promote digital education in CENTA extension workers and researchers, students from the National School of Agriculture (ENA), producers, and will generate new environmentally friendly technologies with the aim of improving productivity in the agricultural sector. MERIAN will have national coverage, will be valid for three years, and is financed by the European Union (EU) and the FAO, and will also be executed by the latter with the support of the International Telecommunications Union (IUT). The amounts: EU: 5,000,000.00 EUR and FAO: 200,000.00 EUR.
