Strengthening the associative organizational competencies and participation of agricultural producers and their organizations Colombia

The project seeks to address the challenges faced by rural producers in Colombia, especially the high incidence of poverty and the difficulties of sustainably inserting themselves into agricultural value chains. The strategy focuses on strengthening associativity as a means to improve the competitiveness and productive inclusion of rural communities. It recognizes the importance of the effective participation of local communities in productive and territorial development, and is aligned with the policies of the National Development Plan 2018-2022 to promote comprehensive access to productive assets and cooperation networks. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the capacities of agricultural producers and their associative schemes in the generation and consolidation of productive chains, through two specific services: the promotion of associativity and advice to strengthen it. It is aimed at social, community, and rural productive organizations (OSCPR) beneficiaries of co-financing by the Rural Development Agency, as well as dispersed rural producers and rural organizations with some level of organization in the rural sector. The project also focuses on vulnerable populations such as conflict victims, rural women and ethnic groups.
