Description

The project aims to improve the efficiency and productivity of cattle production systems in Veraguas Province, Panama, by implementing integrated research in various components such as health, nutrition, reproduction, genetics, and management. Key objectives include reducing cattle mortality, increasing stocking rates, improving weight gains, decreasing the age at slaughter, and enhancing reproductive performance. Through the adoption of IDIAP technologies focusing on pasture, supplementation, health, and reproductive management, the project seeks to benefit both direct and indirect stakeholders, including farmers, extensionists, students, and the broader agro-industry, ultimately aiming to enhance food security and economic development in the region.
