Description

The main objective of this project is to improve rice production and quality in Panama by developing genetic varieties that are resistant to pests and diseases, with high yields and culinary quality. It seeks to benefit both commercial and traditional producers, using innovative methods of genetic improvement and conservation of plant genetic resources. In addition to increasing the profitability and competitiveness of the rice sector, the project also has a social impact by contributing to the food and economic security of the Panamanian community.
