Strengthening innovation in the agricultural sector in Colombia

The project arises in response to the need to increase investment in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) in Colombia, addressing the current disarticulation between actors in the sector and facing challenges such as low agricultural productivity and limited access to markets. With an execution horizon of 2021 to 2023, the project is structured around three main objectives: improve the articulation of the agricultural STI offer, strengthen the integration between the National Agricultural Innovation System (SNIA) and the National Competitiveness System and Innovation (SNCI), and consolidate a robust information base to promote innovation in the sector. Activities will be carried out such as the identification of innovation needs, the development of methodological guidelines for municipal projects and the evaluation of STI policies.
