Strategic Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Colombian Agricultural Sector (PECTIA) 2017–2027

The Strategic Plan for Science, Technology, and Innovation in the Colombian Agricultural Sector (PECTIA) 2017–2027 establishes the guiding framework for agricultural science, technology, and innovation policy and its financing in Colombia. The Plan seeks to strengthen the national innovation system through research, technological development, knowledge management, institutional and territorial coordination, capacity building, and investment in STI. Its objectives include improving agricultural productivity and competitiveness, food quality and safety, environmental sustainability, and innovation governance. PECTIA incorporates a National R&D&I Agenda with priorities based on value chains, territories, and thematic areas, and includes monitoring and evaluation mechanisms extending to 2027.
