Description

The project seeks to contribute to national food security and sovereignty and to that of the Panamanian agricultural sector by addressing technological demands identified in the rice, pineapple and cattle farming chains that are developed on degraded soils in West Panama. In addition, the project seeks to address the solution of production problems in the agricultural sector through technological innovation, in order to ensure that the population of these areas has access to and consumes food in quantity, variety, quality and safety, and can market the surpluses to cover other needs.
