Fecha de inicio: 13/03/2024
Fecha de fin: 13/03/2025

Description

The ECTAD project, executed by FAO in collaboration with SAG-SENASA, seeks to strengthen the country's animal health surveillance systems to prevent, detect and respond to animal health threats that affect human, animal and environmental health. This project aligns with the One Health approach, highlighting the interconnection between the health of people, animals, plants and the environment. Through ECTAD, capacities will be developed to address diseases of animal origin, including emerging, re-emerging, neglected diseases and antimicrobial resistance. The project focuses on strengthening veterinary and laboratory services in Honduras, and will be implemented in three phases that include evaluation of the current situation, training of Official Veterinary Services and promotion of public health and biosafety practices.
