Strengthening of the national basic grains reserve

Description

Through the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), the national reserve of basic grains is being strengthened to guarantee the supply of these foods during and after the COVID-19 emergency, for which it has invested US$30 million in corn, beans and rice. Of corn, 1.1 million quintals have been purchased, approximately $14.3 million. Rice, 150 thousand quintals, equivalent to $4.4 million; and beans, 110 thousand quintals, for a value of $7.1 million.
