MAPA Ordinance No. 471 of August 10, 2022 establishing the Sectoral Plan for Adaptation and Low Carbon Emissions in Agriculture and Livestock ABC+ 2020-2030.

ABC+ restructures concepts and strategies, maintaining the commitment to sustainability in food, fiber and energy production, promoting resilience and increasing the productivity and income of agricultural production systems, while enabling the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The ABC+ Plan is an initiative of Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply to promote adaptation to climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sector. It establishes specific goals for the adoption of sustainable practices in different areas of agricultural production until 2030, including the recovery of degraded pastures, direct planting systems, integrated systems, planted forests, bioinputs, irrigation systems, management of animal production residues and intensive cattle finishing.
