Description

Law 1-12 establishes the National Development Strategy of the Dominican Republic 2030, covering the period from 2012 to 2030. It was approved in 2012 and has been in effect since 2013. This law sets objectives for the countrys development, including building a prosperous and equitable society, sustainable competitiveness, human development, democratic institutionalization, and environmental protection. The strategy is based on four strategic pillars and provides mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating its implementation. Law 1-12 is pivotal for the development of the Dominican Republic, and its effective implementation can enhance the quality of life for its citizens. Ongoing actions include expanding education and healthcare, job creation, strengthening democratic institutions, investing in sustainable infrastructure, and environmental protection.
