The United States - Peru Trade Promotion Agreement (TPA) was signed in Washington D.C. on April 12th, 2006 and entered into force on February 1st, 2009. The following chapters were negotiated in this agreement: National Treatment and Market Access, Textiles and Apparel, Rules of Origin, Customs Administration and Trade Facilitation, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, Technical Barriers to Trade, Trade Defence, Government Procurement, Investment, Cross Border Trade in Services, Financial Services, Competition Policy, Telecommunications, E-Commerce, Intellectual Property Rights, Labour, Environment, Transparency, Trade Capacity Building, Dispute Settlement.
