Description
The National Maize-Tortilla Agreement aims to stabilize tortilla prices in Mexico through the voluntary adhesion of tortilla shops. Tortilla shops that offer a fair price to consumers may access benefits intended to strengthen their operations. The agreement is linked to coordination among public and private actors in the maize-tortilla chain and to measures aimed at supporting fair consumer prices.
