Description

The Five-Year Development Plan 2010-2014 is the strategic planning tool of the Salvadoran government that establishes the vision, strategic bets, priorities, objectives and goals for the period 2010-2014. It seeks to lay the foundations for a new model of comprehensive, sustainable and inclusive growth and development, as well as to deepen and consolidate democracy. The plan is structured around five main instruments: Universal Social Protection System, Financial Development Promotion System, productive development strategy, macroeconomic and sectoral public policies, and security and democratic coexistence policies. Its priority focus is the reduction of poverty, social exclusion and inequality, with special emphasis on the most vulnerable sectors of the population. The plan contemplates a total investment of 4,814 million dollars distributed in five strategic areas with a time horizon towards 2024.
