Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The Solidarity Communities Program is a comprehensive initiative of the Salvadoran government that provides comprehensive care to families in situations of extreme poverty, social exclusion and vulnerability, with special emphasis on children. It is structured in two interventions: rural and urban, each with four strategic axes: human capital, basic services, income generation and territorial management. The program includes conditional monetary transfers, improvement of basic social infrastructure, strengthening of productive capacities and violence prevention components. It territorially prioritizes the 100 municipalities of severe extreme poverty in rural areas and the 25 municipalities with the highest concentration of precarious urban settlements. Its implementation is carried out in a coordinated manner between multiple public institutions and local governments.
