El Salvador Forward: Government Program for the Deepening of Changes

The "El Salvador Forward" program represents a comprehensive strategic framework to deepen the social, economic and political transformations initiated during the first FMLN government (2009-2014). This framework is based on the concept of "good living" and human development, establishing as central axes employment, reduction of the cost of living, social welfare with education and health, citizen security and environmental sustainability. The program was participatively constructed through the "Country Dialogue" with more than 310,000 people, structured in 10 programmatic axes, 33 strategies, 85 commitments and 527 specific measures. It prioritizes the transformation of the neoliberal economic model towards a productive one that strengthens the domestic market, exports and democratizes opportunities, with special emphasis on social inclusion, gender equity and citizen participation.
