Peru: Institutional Strategic Plan 2025-2030 of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI)

Ministerial Resolution No. 0020-2025-MIDAGRI approved the Institutional Strategic Plan (PEI) 2025-2030 of Pliego 013 - Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, which establishes five institutional strategic objectives aimed at improving the management of the agricultural sector. These objectives are: (i) promote the sustainable use of natural resources for agrarian producers, measured by indicators such as number of hectares with irrigation infrastructure and areas with sustainable soil and forest management practices; (ii) reduce vulnerability to natural and anthropogenic phenomena, including climate change, by protecting hectares of agrarian use; (iii) increase sustainable agricultural productivity, evaluated by the gross value of production per capita; (iv) improve the supply of market-oriented products, through the gross value of agricultural production; and (v) modernize MIDAGRI's institutional management, based on the fulfillment of modernization goals. These objectives guide public action in the sector to promote the sustainability, competitiveness and resilience of Peruvian agriculture.
