Departmental Law No. 429 – Departmental Law on the Cheese and Milk Route

Departmental Law of Tarija creating the Cheese and Milk Route to strengthen community-based tourism and gastronomic activities in areas producing artisanal cheese and other dairy products, and to promote the productive, tourism and cultural activities of the dairy value chain as an economic alternative. The Law provides for the promotion of rural gastronomic tourism and the marketing of products through points of sale, community fairs, restaurants, events and gastronomic festivals; establishes the allocation of resources and the mobilization of co-financing; and authorizes agreements to improve tourist attractions and services, processing centers and community points of sale.
