Description

Supreme Decree No. 29315 has as its main objective the creation of four Deconcentrated Units dependent on the Ministry of Rural, Agricultural and Environment Development of Bolivia. The first unit, called PASA, administers the "Sembrar" and "Criar" programs focused on food production and the fight against malnutrition in municipalities with extreme poverty. The second unit, EMPOWER, promotes the rural productive development of the territorial and economic organizations of the municipalities. The third unit, SUSTENT, manages the "Sustain" and "Conserve" programs, aimed at the conservation of nature and the sustainable use of natural resources. The fourth unit, DICOCA, administers the "Comprehensive Development with Coca" program, aimed at the development of coca leaf producing areas. In addition, it is specified that these units will have the capacity to sign agreements with different sectors and acquire goods and services necessary to fulfill their objectives.
