CONPES 3926 – Land Improvement Policy 2018–2038

National policy establishing Colombia's strategic framework for land improvement from 2018 to 2038, aimed at increasing the productivity, competitiveness and environmental sustainability of agricultural production systems through irrigation, drainage and flood-protection services. The policy seeks to strengthen planning and information systems, improve institutional coordination and the efficiency of investments in comprehensive land-improvement projects, update the regulatory framework, and promote a new generation of land-improvement districts with a territorial approach. It also links land improvement with agricultural risk management, climate change resilience and the strengthening of peasant, family and community farming.
