The main objectives of the National Reindustrialization Policy of Colombia are to close productivity gaps, diversify and sophisticate the productive matrix, strengthen productive chains, deepen international economic integration and improve the institutional and incentive framework to increase value addition, productivity , competitiveness and innovation. To achieve these objectives, strategic actions will be implemented focused on the fair energy transition, agroindustry and food sovereignty, the reindustrialization of the health sector and the defense of life. In the area of energy transition, non-conventional sources of renewable energy will be promoted, electromobility will be encouraged and the bioeconomy will be promoted. Regarding agribusiness and food sovereignty, agricultural production will be optimized, the infrastructure of processing plants will be strengthened, and gene editing tools will be developed and used. In addition, it seeks to optimize production by improving techniques and technologies, strengthen processing infrastructure to add value to agricultural products, and implement gene editing tools and other advanced technologies to improve productivity and sustainability. Circular economy practices will be promoted that reduce emissions and encourage recycling and reuse of resources. The implementation of this policy will cover a period of eleven years, from 2024 to 2034.
