Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2022
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2037

Description

The Food and Nutritional Security Policy 2022-2037 establishes the guiding principles, thematic axes and guidelines to orient the country's Food and Nutritional Security activities. Among its main updates is the rethinking of the target population, the redefinition of objectives, the focus on malnutrition - and not only malnutrition -, the emphasis on food systems and, in a cross-cutting manner, climate change. The policy is framed in 5 priority areas: 1) Sufficient production of food of animal or vegetable origin: it proposes actions to promote the production, import, processing and marketing of food; 2) Physical access to fresh, varied and nutritious food: actions are proposed to promote, develop and ensure that the population has access to food of plant and animal origin in cantonal, municipal, national or international markets; 3) Purchasing capacity to buy fresh, varied and nutritious food; 4) Adequate food intake: This axis proposes actions to promote optimal nutrition that promotes healthy growth and cognitive development of the younger population; 5) Adequate biological use of food: This axis proposes actions aimed at promoting and facilitating a state of physical and biological well-being in the population.
