Climate Market Club

The Climate Market Club is a group of national governments and non-sovereign members that agree on common principles and jointly develop modalities for piloting activities under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. It serves as a forum for discussion and consensus to facilitate, based on practical experience, the development of rules and approaches for international cooperation in carbon markets. The Club meets monthly to discuss technical topics, exchange experience and contribute to the development of Approach Papers and other knowledge products. As of June 2025, it comprised 16 governments and five non-sovereign entities. The World Bank Group, in coordination with other multilateral development banks, serves as Secretariat.
